Temporary closure of Gullane Village Hall
In light of the government's direction on social gathering, the Gullane village hall trustees have had to take the decision to temporarily close the hall from Saturday 21st March until the situation changes. We are happy to still take bookings for later in the year. Please email gullanevillagehallbookings@gmail.com. AGM & Adoption of a New Trust Deed (by Deed of Amendment)
Wednesday 1 February 2017, 7pm Gullane Community Association (GullaneVillage Hall) is holding its AGM on Wednesday 1 February at 7pm in the Small Hall, Hall Crescent, Gullane. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served. This is an especially exciting meeting as the Trustees are proposing to adopt a new Trust Deed. The current Trust Deed was written in 1994 and needs updated to keep abreast of the changes that the 21st Century brings. You can download a copy of the new Trust Deed (which will be adopted by a Deed of Amendment) below or read a printed copy in Gullane library or at the Village Hall. The AGM will also provide an opportunity for you to hear about the recent upgrade to the heating system, Little Big Screen, the Apple Festival, the reinstated Lunch Club, the Burns Supper and many more exciting activities and events that run in the Hall. The Hall is a successful and thriving venue that offers many magical and memorable moments to all that venture in. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 1 February 2017 at 7pm. Green grant for the village hall
A major grant has been awarded to the village hall to install a renewable energy heating system. Viridor Credits Environmental Company has approved an application for the project and awarded the trustees £35,592. Viridor Credits is a not-for-profit organisation which provides funding for community, heritage and biodiversity projects in Scotland from the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund. A big thank you to the 120 Gullane residents who signed their support to the funding application. This supporting petition was a deciding factor in approval of the grant. |
